How to set up the Facebook Pixel

Integrating the Facebook Pixel with Your Product

Integrating the Facebook Pixel with your products allows you to track sales, measure performance, and optimize your ad campaigns.

Here's how you can do this:

From the main menu, click on Products and select the product you want to add the pixel to.
Click on the Settings tab.
Scroll down to the Conversion Pixels option and input your Pixel ID.

You can add up to 50 Facebook Pixels to each product.

Remember to select a domain where each Pixel will fire. By default, the Kiwify domain is added, but it's recommended that you use the domain of your website or sales page, the same one you've verified on Facebook.

FAQs:

How does domain verification work?

Pixels fire on your domain, which can be connected to Kiwify. This should be the same domain that you've verified on Facebook. We have a tutorial explaining the step-by-step process. (Link)

What events does Kiwify send to Pixel?

Kiwify sends two events to Pixel:

"InitiateCheckout" (when someone visits the checkout) and
"Purchase" (when a purchase is approved on the card).

For card-approved purchases, we also fire the "credit_card" event, in addition to the default "Purchase" event.
Declined cards do not generate a "Purchase" event.

Where can I find my Facebook Pixel?

Your Facebook Pixel is located in your Facebook Business Manager. Visit https://business.facebook.com, click on More Tools in the left menu, then on Event Manager.

On the new page, click on Data Sources in the left side menu.

Your Pixel ID can be found in the left column.

How can I check if my Facebook Pixel is installed correctly?

Facebook provides a plugin for Google Chrome called Facebook Pixel Helper that can help you check your Pixel. You can download it from the link below:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/facebook-pixel-helper/fdgfkebogiimcoedlicjlajpkdmockpc

After installing it, access your checkout link and select the FB Pixel Helper icon in the top right corner of your browser to view the detected Pixel.

Can I use the Facebook Conversion API as well?

Yes, we have a tutorial that explains how to configure the Facebook Conversion API.

Why does an additional Pixel ID I didn't add appear at checkout?

For the Facebook Conversions API to work correctly, a PageView event must be fired using Kiwify's own Pixel. This is required for Facebook cookies to be identified.

Therefore, you might see our Pixel being fired as a PageView event at your checkout. However, this does not affect your events and can be ignored.
