How to Upload Videos

Understanding the Video Upload Process

There is absolutely no cost for uploading or viewing your videos on Kiwify.

You have the flexibility to upload videos directly from your computer or even from external applications such as Dropbox and Google Drive.

There are two ways to upload videos:

Uploading a new video within a lesson
Uploading multiple videos simultaneously

Uploading a Single Video within a Lesson

Navigate to your Members' Area, select your product, and determine in which content you'd like to upload your video:

Remember, it's crucial to allow the video to complete its upload before exiting the page!

Generally, your video will be ready for viewing within a timeframe of 15 to 30 minutes.

Bulk video upload

If you have numerous videos to upload, it's more efficient to upload them all simultaneously and then link them to their respective lessons later.

In the primary screen of your content editor, click on the Video Upload option:

Your videos will begin uploading in a small tab located in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

To use one of the newly uploaded videos, navigate to the content, click Add from Library, and select the desired video.

You can freely scroll and switch dashboard pages while your videos continue uploading.

Keep in mind, any videos not utilized in a class will be automatically deleted after 7 days.

Linking a Video to a Lesson

Within your lesson, click on the Add from library tab in the video upload box.

You'll find a list of all previously uploaded files.

Simply select the desired video and save the class.

The video will process and be ready for viewing approximately 30 minutes after saving the lesson.

You also have the option to repurpose videos from other lessons by clicking the Reuse from other lessons tab.

Where Are Videos Stored?

We rely on Vimeo for video hosting and distribution. However, you don't need a Vimeo account.

Kiwify maintains a business account and we bear all costs for our customers.

All video uploads are handled directly through the Kiwify dashboard.

What is the maximum video size?

You can add videos up to 5GB in size, with a limit of one video per class.

Pro tip: How to Reduce Your Video Size

To save space and upload faster, consider using a software program to compress your videos before uploading.
This reduces the file size without sacrificing quality.

We recommend the Handbrake tool https://handbrake.fr/. It's completely free and user-friendly.

How to Embed YouTube Videos?

You can incorporate a YouTube video into your course members' area, within content.

This will enable your student to watch the video directly through the platform.

|In the App, your student will be redirected to YouTube when clicking on the video.

Follow these steps:

First go to your Youtube page, copy your video URL link.

Adding the video to the lesson

In your Members' Area, select the appropriate product.

Open the content where you wish to insert your YouTube video.

Then, simply select the 'Use YouTube video' option and paste the video URL.

And that's it! Your videos are all set up!
