How to Integrate with ActiveCampaign

ActiveCampaign is one of the leading email marketing platforms available.

With Kiwify's full integration with ActiveCampaign, you can add tags to your contacts based on the product and purchase event (e.g., purchase approved, purchase declined), and then create email marketing automations for your customers.

If you haven't created an ActiveCampaign account yet, you can do so here.

Retrieving Your ActiveCampaign API Key

The first step is to obtain your ActiveCampaign API Key and URL, which will allow Kiwify to connect to your account.

Access your ActiveCampaign account, and click on Settings > Developer menu.

Here, you'll find your URL and API Key:

Don't close this page, you will need this information to connect to Kiwify in the next step.

Connecting to Kiwify

On the Kiwify dashboard, click on Apps then ActiveCampaign.

A side tab will open, where you can click on Add account.

Enter your ActiveCampaign URL and API Key (which you got from the ActiveCampaign dashboard) and click on the Add account button!

Now, in the sidebar, click on the account you just created.

Note: You can register several different ActiveCampaign accounts with Kiwify.

Creating rules for integration

Kiwify's integration with ActiveCampaign works via a system of rules.

Each rule is specific to a product and is triggered based on an event (approved purchase, declined purchase, refunded purchase, etc.).

When the event configured in the rule occurs, an action is performed, which could involve adding or removing tags or lists from the ActiveCampaign contact.

Note: If the contact is new, a new contact will be added. If it's an existing contact, the rule will just add/remove a tag or list.

Remember: The tags and lists are imported directly from your ActiveCampaign account. Therefore, you must create the tags and lists in ActiveCampaign before integrating.

After creating the rule, remember to click on "Save Changes".

You can repeat this process and create as many rules as you like.

Note: Each rule is obligatorily linked to a product. It's not possible to create a single rule for "all products".
